Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin LaVelle were held Sunday afternoon at the Kubitschek & Kastler funeral home, in charge of Rev. J. R. Tumbleson. Mr. LaVelle died Friday at his home on South Park Ave. Mr. LaVelle was born March 30th, 1867, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Thomas and Abbie LaVelle, both deceased. He is survived by his wife and three children, Bert of Tulsa, Okla., Pearl Harding of Los Angeles, Calif, and Ethel Condit of Los Angeles, Calif. One son, Roy LaVelle, died a number of years ago. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery.
