August 4, 1867 ---- June 25, 1929

Richard S. Woodard died at his home on South Commercial Ave. Tuesday, at 12:30 p.m. Mr. Woodard had been suffering from severe kidney attack all spring and about three weeks ago was operated on at the Mercy hospital at Fort Dodge. The operation prolonged his life for a short time, although at no time did the doctors hold out hope for a permanent recovery. Mr. Woodard was past 61 years of age. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. Roy lives at Webster City, Mrs. Ruby Newcombe near Eagle Grove, Mrs. Glenn Watson in Minneapolis and Lee at home. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Friday, June 28th at 2:30 p.m.
