September 10, 1865 ---- February 17, 1944

Funeral Services for Mrs. Caroline Nessa, who died last Thursday at the home of her son, Evan A. Kluge, 8507 N Hereford Avenue, were held Monday afternoon at the Pearson Funeral Church, Rev. H. O. Hendrikson of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was in Columbian Cemetery. Born near Stavanger, Norway in 1865, Mrs. Nessa came to the United States at the age of 16, settling at Thor, Ia., where she spent much of her early life before coming to the Pacific Northwest in 1920. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Marie Johnson, Portland, and Mrs. Evelyn Burres, Moorhead, Minn., 15 Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren.
