William Gray, Sr. , 80, of Fort Madison, Iowa passed away at 8:25 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 14, 1935 in Eagle Grove, IA to Elwood and Ruth Dorr Gray. On February 5, 1955 he married Nancy Dimler in Ft. Dodge, IA. Bill worked for First Miss, Crandons Paper Mill and KJ Lampe until he retired. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and was an Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan. He was also an avid wrestler in high school.

Survivors include his Wife, Nancy Gray of Ft. Madison; children, Pam (David) Smith of Ft. Madison, Bill (Denise) Gray, Jr. of West point, Kurt Gray of Burlington, Dawn (Chuck) Kempker of Ft. Madison, Jack (Steff) Gray of Ft. Madison, Jill (Dennis) Pirri of Ft. Madison, Pat Gray of Denmark and Lisa (Kevin) Maser-Morgan of North English; thirty nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; sisters, Betty McCart of Eagle Grove, Roselee Sandvig of Overland Park, KS, Paula Eck of Cedar Falls, Phyllis Cooper of Eagle Grove, Teresa Dodd of Kansas City, MO and Lana Nail of Ankeny; a brother, Ron Gray of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Nicole; a grandson, P.J.; a brother, Bob and his son-in-law, Mike Cochran, Sr.

The family will meet with friends from 1-4 PM on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at King-Lynk Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 4 PM. The funeral mass will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
