March 22, 1891 --- November 8, 1976

Henry N. Ward was born, the son of William and Florence Boutiler Ward, in Britt on March 22, 1891. Henry attended the local school and was later drafted into WWI. He married Adna Church on July 12, 1925 at Albert Lea, Minnesota. Henry Ward farmed all his life. He also sold insurance for Mutual Fire and Auto for 53 years. He loved wildlife and practiced conservation while on the farm. He lived on the farm until he was 72 then moved into Klemme. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife Adna; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Schaefer of Klemme and Sharon Meyer of Tobias, Neb.; four grandchildren, Celeste Gilpin of Davenport and Theresa, Tina and Randal Meyer of Tobias, Neb.; also 2 great grandchildren, Francis and Michelle Gilpin of Davenport.
