July 22, 1921 ---- February 2, 2016

Richard Arthur Noonan, 94, of Humboldt, passed away February 2, 2016 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016, in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt with Father James Tigges officiating. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Noonan is survived by his 4 daughters, Nicki (Bob) Gabrysiak of Orland Park, IL, Peg Powers (Dan Sanders), of Okoboji, Julie (Rich) Conlon of Humboldt, and Chelle (Terry) Busse of Humboldt; grandchildren, Patrick (Camila) Gabrysiak, Peter Gabrysiak, Casey (Jenny) Powers, Nealey Powers, Chase Powers, Tom (Britney) Conlon, Megan Conlon, Josie (Jay) Bjustrom, Michael Vought, and Joey Busse; great grandchildren, Madison Powers, Alexie Powers, and Cecilia Gabrysiak; brother, Jim Noonan of Eagle Grove; and sister, Maxine Van der Haeghen of Alamo, CA.

Richard was born July 22, 1921 at Eagle Grove, Iowa. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School and attended Saint Ambrose College and Elgin Watch Maker School. He served in the United States Army Air Corpes during World War II. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Dailey Noonan on September 10, 1947. Mrs. Noonan passed away in November of 2003.

Richard enjoyed watching football and golf and playing cards. He especially loved taking his grandkids to see the dam on Lake Nakomis, visiting Humboldt International Airport and teaching them to play cards.
