DOWS, IA -- Leonard L. Soren, 66, of Dows, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at the Dugger Funeral Home, 100 N. Lee St. in Dows. Pastor Kim Lee will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Dows American Legion Watson Beach Post No. 523. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until service-time Saturday at the funeral home.

Leonard L. Soren, age 66, of Dows, passed away Saturday November 8, 2014 at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. Funeral services for Leonard L. Soren will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday November 15, 2014 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 100 North Lee Street in Dows. Pastor Kim Lee will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Dows American Legion Watson Beach Post #523. Visitation for Leonard L. Soren will be held from 11:30 until service-time Saturday at the funeral home. Friends and relatives are invited to the Dows American Legion for lunch following the memorial service at the Dugger Funeral Home.

Leonard the son of Julius and Evelyn Allen Soren was born in Clarion and raised in Dows. Leonard graduated from Dows High School in 1968. He entered the US Navy served on the USS America in the Tonkin Gulf during the Vietnam War. Leonard returned from the Navy and worked for the Rock Island/Chicago Northwestern Railroad and Burlington Pacific Railroad until he retired. Then he returned to Dows. He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles and rode all over.

Leonard is survived by a sister, Carole Christenson of Clarion, two nephews, Dan and wife Becky Christenson of Waterloo, Steven Christenson of Clarion, niece LaVonne and Trevor Sabblut of Oregon, six great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by Parents.
