February 17, 1954 --- June 3, 2013

Corpus Christi, TX -- Kathryn Ann Knoll, 59, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013. Kathy was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She lived in Belmond, Iowa until 1987 when she moved to Corpus Christi, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She worked as a nurse with Christus Spohn Hospitals for over 25 years. She was a very loving and caring woman with great compassion for helping others.

Kathy left behind her loving husband of 40 years, James Knoll, her daughter, Jayne Knoll Oser and husband Jeremy Oser, her son, Charlie Knoll and wife Christi Knoll, two grandsons, Caleb and Carter and huge extended family and loving friends. Her memorial service will be at Grace Community Church located at 10121 SPID on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 5:30 in the evening. Burial will also be held in Belmond, Iowa on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.

Kathryn Ann Knoll, 59, Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly Missouri Valley, passed away Monday, June 3. Memorial services were held Thursday, June 6, at Grace Community Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Belmond Friday, July 5, at 10:30 a.m.

Kathy was born in Council Bluffs, raised in Missouri Valley and graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1972. She attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., where she met her future husband, James W. Knoll, whom she married in May 1973.

Kathy and her husband worked in Omaha, Neb., before moving to Belmond to help run the Knoll Family Supper Club. While there, Kathy earned her certificate of nursing and received a job offer from the Christus Spohn Health System and they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1987.

Kathy was a floor nurse for two years, then was manager of the pulmonary ward for 20 years and then returned to floor nurse for her remaining years. While working, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Kathy was a very loving and caring woman with great compassion for helping others.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille (Peters) Stewart. Kathy leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, James W. Knoll; her daughter, Jayne (Knoll) Oser, and her husband, Jeremy; her son, Charlie Knoll, and his wife, Christi; two grandchildren, Caleb and Carter; her father, Charles E. Stewart; her sister, Nina Bertelson, and her husband, Nathan; and a huge extended family and many loving friends.
