Edna E. Hansen, 82, Overland Park, KS, died on Wednesday, May 14, 1997, at the Indian Creek Nursing Center in Overland Park. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Thursday evening, May 15, at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf; private interment will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice, 1625 West 92nd Street, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Mrs. Hansen was born August 1, 1914, in Woolstock, IA, the daughter of Charles and Louise Hazemann Loux. She was employed as a bank teller prior to her retirement and was a member of the Overland Park Lutheran Church. She was married to Ralph H. Hansen on January 1, 1935. He died in 1942. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Darner in 1982, and by her five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two grandchildren, Suzanne Gabriel and Stephen Darner, both of Mission, KS; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Gabriel and Aumber Darner; and a sister-in-law, Bertha Loux, of Eagle Grove, IA.
