Evelyn Florence Rundquist, 90, Phillips, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999 at the Flambeau Medical Center, Park Falls. She was born on April 3, 1909, the daughter of Silas and Ella (Horstman) Cool in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She spent her early life and schooling in Manitowac, Wisc., where she attended and graduated from Manitowac High School, Class of 1926. She then attended and graduated from Lawrence University and Conservatory, Appleton in 1929 with a Bachelor of Music Degree. She married Louis Rundquist on July 25, 1942 in Manitowac. She was a vocal and music teacher for many years. She began her career in Eagle River, then came to Phillips and then from 1941 to 1963 in Ashland prior to her retirement. Following retirement, she and her husband made their home in Phillips.

She is survived by one brother: Daniel (Ena) Cool, North Plainfield, New Jersey; two nephews, one grand nephew and one grand niece. She is preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Louis on Oct. 1, 1995, by two brothers and one sister. Cremation has taken place. No service is currently being planned. The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of arrangements.
