Charles Henry Jorgenson, 93, of Longview, died June 20, 2002, at the Hospice Care Center. He was born April 19, 1909, in Thor, Iowa, to Sigurd and Olivia (Luchsinger) Jorgenson. Mr. Jorgenson retired from Weyerhaeuser. He was a 30-year member of the Longview Eagles and enjoyed fishing, clamming and playing pool. He loved to dance. He married Esther Jensen in 1967. She survives him at home. Also surviving are five sons, Larry Jorgenson and Kevin Jorgenson, both of Kelso, and Dennis Jorgenson and Steven Jorgenson, both of Salem, Ore.; a stepson, Don Jensen of Longview; two stepdaughters, Linda Galloway of Clatskanie and Patty Jorgenson of Kelso; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances, in 1958; four sisters; and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Cascade Northwest Funeral Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Gardens with the Rev. W.C. Thurman officiating. Interment and committal service will take place at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens. The viewing will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to service time Monday.
