Vernard H. Rockow -- Resided in McMinnville, OR;
Son of Erick Ludwig and Emma Marie Schroder Rockow, he grew up in Iowa [Dows, Wright County, Iowa] until 1939. He married Ada Laura Wille on October 15, 1939 in Nashua, Iowa. Following his marriage he moved to Almena, Wisconsin where he worked as a dairy farmer. In 1964 when he relocated to Oregon. He resided in Salem where he worked for the City of Salem in the Public Works Department, until retiring in 1977. He moved to McMinnville in 1987. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodcrafts, playing cribbage and loved to garden. The family said he was a "Jack of Many Trades." He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. -
