GEORGE C. HERRON, FORMER MOBERLY MAN, DIES IN IOWA

George C. Herron, 82, former Monroe county and Moberly resident, died at 8 o'clock Tuesday night in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Morris, of Kanawha, Iowa.

Mr. Herron was born September 11, 1862 near Madison, Mo., in Monroe County and lived there until 15 years ago when he came to Moberly. He lived here until a year ago when he went to Kanawha to make his home with Mrs. Morris. He is survived by three sons, Glenn, Herman and Charley Herron, all of Moberly; daughters, Mrs. Nell Beamer, near Madison, and Mrs. Morris; three brothers, Porter Herron of Moberly, Tom Herron of Madison and Bill Herron, near Jacksonville; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Padgett, Mrs. Lucy Webb and Mrs. Bettie Padgett, all of Moberly, and Mrs. Ike Duncan, near Madison; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The body will arrive here tomorrow morning and will be taken to the home of the son, Glenn Herron, 411 Wisdom Street. Funeral arrangements will be made later.
