HOLD FINAL RITES FOR FORMER BODE RESIDENT

Bode, IA - A former resident of Bode, Mrs. Carl Kallansrud, 73, was one of the victims of the explosion at Eagle Grove Friday evening. Mrs. Kallansrud was the former Mrs. David Neilly and she and her husband were proprietors of a coffee shop at Bode for several years. Mr. Neilly died in 1954 while the couple resided at Bode. She married Carl Kallansrud in 1959 at Eagle Grove. Mrs. Kallansrud was a cook at the Chatter Box Cafe, Eagle Grove. Survivors are the widower, a brother, several sisters and a number of step-children.
