Funeral Services for Patricia A. Vestal, 81, of Perry, Iowa will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Murdock Funeral Home. Pastor Tony Thurston will officiate with special music, The Lord’s Prayer and How Great Thou Art. Pallbearers will be Trent Good, Michael Jones, Andrew Wernli, Matt Free, David VanArkel, Scott Martelli and Juan Resendz. Burial will be in Peoples Cemetery in rural Bouton. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 with family receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Murdock Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in her name and may be left or sent to the funeral home.

Patricia was born June 18, 1932, in Franklin County Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Gwen (Ingebritson) Miller. After graduating from high school, Pat married Earl Vestal on October 6, 1951 in LaVern, MN. Most of her married life she lived in the Bouton, Woodward and Perry area. Pat worked for Iowa Electric Light and Power Company as a secretary in the Perry office for over 20 years before her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Woodward, Christian Women’s Fellowship and The Bumblebugs Club, a Dune Buggy club that her and Earl belonged to in Perry. She also enjoyed camping and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat will be missed by her two daughters Debra (Dennis) Wernli of Woodward, IA and Diane (Tony) Martelli of Perry, IA ; ten grandchildren Lisa (Michael) Jones, Jenni (Trent) Good, Andy Wernli, Misty (David) VanArkel, Trisha (Juan) Resendz, Scott (Julie) Martelli, Sherry (Matt) Free, Ali Martelli, Abbi Martelli and Ashlee Martelli; twenty one great grandchildren and two sisters Rosanne (Mel) Beyer of Dows, IA and Sharon (Ed) Dummer of Glencoe, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl on May 11, 2002, one brother Ed Miller and infant son, Steven.
