BELMOND, IA -- Michael Bradley Robson, age 38 (going to be 39), of Belmond, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at his home in Belmond. A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael B. Robson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond. The Rev. Jerry Blake will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation for Michael will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. A parish rosary will be recited at 4:45 p.m. and a scriptural wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made in Michael's name to the Belmond Community Hospital Foundation, Wright County Hospice and/or Belmond-Klemme Scholarship Fund. Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South, is in charge of arrangements.

Michael, son of Bradley and Jane Robson, was born on April 8, 1977, in Cedar Rapids, IA. He grew up in Belmond and graduated with the Belmond-Klemme High School class of 1996. He worked at Mosaic in Clarion and celebrated retirement in 2015. Michael was a life-long member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond.

Wherever Michael went he was able to make new friends. He shared a special bond of love with his family. He also had a passion for celebrating the holidays and his birthday. Celebrating these occasions with his family and friends brought him great joy. Michael was known for giving the biggest hugs and his contagious giggle. Between his uncanny wit and smile he could brighten the darkest day. The amount of love he gave to those around him made it impossible not to love him back.

Michael is survived by his parents, Bradley and Jane of Belmond, IA; sister, Sarah (Andy) Braunshausen and children, Avery, Cole, Olivia and Maryn of Lake Elmo, MN; brother, Nathan (Nikki) and children, Adeline, Ava and Mara of Marion, IA; maternal grandparents, Hubert (Coach) and Donna Kopriva of Belmond, IA; paternal grandparents, Don and Virginia Robson of Sun City West, AZ; paternal great-grandmother, Lerdean Hamann of Apache Junction, AZ; aunts and uncles, Debbie and Dennis Sloth, Belmond, IA, Mark and Tami Kopriva, Urbandale, IA, Michael and Lora Kopriva, Port Byron, IL, David and Kristie Kopriva, Columbia, MO, Tim and Juli Kopriva, Dike, IA, Diane and Kirk Christensen, Carroll, IA, Bob and Jenny Kopriva, Clear Lake, IA, Greg and Marsha Robson, Sammamish, WA, Stan and Becky Robson, Ventura, CA, Jeanie and Chris Schulmeister, Allen, TX, and numerous loving cousins and friends.
