July 29, 1896 -- October 6, 1963

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ruthven Methodist Church for Oscar Wyatt, 67, of Ruthven, who died Sunday at the Palo Alto Memorial Hospital at Emmetsburg. Rev. Darwin Pierce of Ruthven officiated at the rites and burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery with members of the Ruthven Legion Post conducting the military services. Llghtle-Hayes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wyatt was born July 29, 1896, at Farnhamville Iowa and married the former Una Mae Larison at Fort Dodge, Nov. 17, 1917. A veteran of World War I, he had resided in Ruthven the past three years. The family had previously resided at Somers and at Hardy, Iowa. Mr. Wyatt is survived by his wife; three sons, Burl of Ruthven, Virgil of Appalachian, N.Y., and Charles of Fonda. Also surviving are his three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Etta) Ogan of Hardy, Mrs. Eldon (Alma) Seely of Akron and Mrs. Arden (Alta) Johnson of Akron, as well as one hrother, William of Ruthven, and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Sweeney of Omaha, Neb.
