Linda L. Wearda, 55, of Hudson, formerly of Webster City, died Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Moose Family Center in Webster City. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center.
Linda Louise Lovelace, daughter of Louis and Noretta Healey Lovelace was born on August 1, 1951 in Webster City. She received her education and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1969. On August 1, 1970, she married Richard Lockwood in Woolstock. To this union two children were born, Chris and Kelly. The couple later divorced. On December 1, 1979, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Wearda in Nashua. To this union a son Ryan was born. The couple later divorced. Linda was employed by KQWC, Your Inc. and W.I.C. in Webster City and Dodgen Industries in Humboldt. She most recently was a self-employed childcare provider in Hudson, Iowa.
Linda is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Kathy Lockwood of Webster City, Ryan and Emily Wearda of Jacksonville, FL.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Mitch Yates of Webster City; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Craig and Cindy Lovelace, Louis and Sandy Lovelace all of Webster City, Larry and Sharon Lovelace of Clutier, IA., Tom and Deb Lovelace of Decatur, IL., and Dave Lovelace of Puyallup, WA.; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Mike Brower of St. Louis, MO.; stepmother, Blanche Lovelace of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving special friend Mick Wilson of Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Florence Lovelace; brother in infancy, Mark Lovelace and a niece, Shauna Lovelace.
Linda was a member of the Woolstock Methodist Church, and former president of the Womens Bowling Association. She enjoyed bowling and was a very loving childcare are provider. Memorials may be sent in Linda's memory to 807 Crestview Drive, Webster City, Iowa 50595.
