Dolores J. Mallon, 95, Boulder, Colo.

Dolores (Petie) Joy (Pohlmann) Mallon, 95, of Boulder, Colo., went to be with her Lord on October 14, 2015. She was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, on February 1, 1920, to Edward Pohlmann and Mabel Serena (Olson) Pohlmann. Dolores attended and graduated from the Eagle Grove High School. Dolores moved to Chicago, Ill., where she graduated from Nurses training and became a surgical nurse there in the hospitals. She married Raymond Mallon on February 21, 1947. After her nursing career, Dolores became a loan officer for the Amalgamated Bank of Chicago. In later years, she moved back to Eagle Grove to be near her family in this area. Then she moved to Aurora, Colo., to live with her sister, Vivian, and then moved to Boulder to be near her brother, David, where she resided until her death.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters: Vera Erland, Vivian Jackson, and Maxine Nelson. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jo Marini; brother, David E. Pohlmann; and many nieces and nephews who loved their “Aunt Petie” dearly. Dolores requested that there be no service. Her wishes were to be cremated and her ashes scattered in the mountains.
