February 2, 1926 ---- November 8, 2000

Delores Griffith, 74, Webster City, died Nov. 8, 2000 at Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Foster Funeral home with Rev. Brian Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday.

Delores LaVera Capsel, daughter of Earl and Ethel Loux Capsel, was born Feb. 2, 1926 at Woolstock. She received her education in the Eagle Grove Schools. On Dec. 22, 1947, she married Roger (Jack) Griffith at Elk Point, S.D. The couple had resided in the Eagle Grove area until 1957 when they moved to the Webster City area. She had been employed at Wilson Produce in Eagle Grove, the Freeman-Journal in Webster City, and Steve's Place in Kamrar. Jack Griffith died on Jan. 16, 1988.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Lenny Carlson of Eagle Grove, sons and daughters-in-law, Mike Griffith, Dick and Crystal Griffith of Webster City; grandchildren, Dave Elsberry, Ryan, Mitchell, Ty, Emily and Travis Griffith, great-grandchildren, Jenifer, Cassie and Tamra Elsberry; sisters, Aletha White of Tampa, Fla., Betty Willard, Thor, Peggy Turner of Webster City, Shirley Jans of Kamrar, Evelyn Chelesvig, Eagle Grove, Judy Berg, St. Paul, Minn., brothers Jack Capsel, Louisville, Ky., Chuck Capsel, Webster City; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Darlene Allen.
