Greone Kessler was born February 4, 1911, near Meservey, the daughter of Theodore Leo and Alice Saatoff Kessler. She received her education in the Belmond schools and graduated in 1928, receiving a teaching certificate. She moved to Riceville, where she met and married Henry Timmerman of Saratoga, at the Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, Minn., on February 26, 1938. The couple farmed near Saratoga, until moving to Eagle Grove in 1946. Mrs. Timmerman was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, and the LWML of the church.

Mrs. Henry Timmerman died at the Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, January 12, 1988, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and eight days. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Reint and Walter; one sister, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Gruis, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, four sons, Dale Henry, Waterloo; Jerry Mervin, Frederick Dean and Theodore Eugene, all of Eagle Grove; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gloria Jean) Butler, Camanche; Mrs. Ronald (Mary Anne) Ryerson, Scarville; and Beverly Joan Timmerman, Eagle Grove. Also surviving are numerous grand and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Raymond Kessler, Meservey; Leonard Kessler, Lime Springs; Merle Kessler, Riceville; Ervin Kessler, Riceville; and sister, Mrs. Edmond (Sylvia) Voyna, Knoxville, Ark.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 1988, at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove. The Rev. Mark Kastner officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
