Nathanael V. Leerhoff, 24, of Clarksville, Iowa passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at his home in Clarksville, Iowa.

Nathanael Vernon Leerhoff was born on April 24, 1991, the son of David and Sue (Wendel) Leerhoff in Clarion, Iowa. He accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior at the age of five and was baptized by his father, David along with his siblings at the age of fourteen. He was home schooled in grade school in Eagle Grove, Iowa and high school in Clarksville, Iowa. Nathanael was currently attending Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo in the welding program. He was employed by Epley Bros Hybrids from 2007 until 2015. He also held many odd jobs, including construction with his uncle, Mark Leerhoff and painting with his father.

He was a member of the NRA, The W, North America Fishing Club and North America Hunting Club and participated for 10 years at the Thunder in the Desert. Nathanael enjoyed weight lifting, running, guns, fishing, camping, biking, writing and enjoyed music, reptiles, amphibians, Ninja our cat and his 1995 Buick Riviera.

Survivors are his parents, David and Sue Leerhoff of Clarksville, Iowa; two brothers, Anthony Leerhoff and Noah Leerhoff of Clarksville, Iowa; sister, Christy and husband, Jeffrey Fox of Webster City, Iowa; fiancée, Rebekah Sawyer of Clarion, Iowa; paternal grandfather, Vernon Leerhoff of Allison, Iowa and maternal grandmother, Betty Wendel of Belmond, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Leerhoff; grandfather, Arnold Wendel and by an uncle, Bruce Wendel.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Vineyard Community Church in Waverly with burial to follow in the Allison Cemetery, Allison, Iowa. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and for an hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly is in charge of arrangements.
