Funeral services were held for Elizabeth Stensland at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, at the Hanson Funeral Home in Kenyon with the Rev. Kenneth Moland officiating. A trio composed of Mrs. Henry Walker, Mrs. Amos Stolee and Mrs. Charles Rongmoe sang two vocal selections with Mrs. Edna Hanson as organist. Marvin Danielson, Reuben Quie, Joseph Jarstad, Emil Rud, Harry Peterson and Peter Dyrdahl were pallbearers. Interment was in the Kenyon cemetery.

Elizabeth Stensland passed away at the Zumbrota Community Hospital in Zumbrota on Friday, Dec. 4, at the age of 92 years. The daughter of Otto and Anna Teigland Stensland, she was born at Moster Oien, Norway, on April 13, 1878. At the age of four years, together with her parents, she emigrated to the United States. The family settled in Kelly, Iowa, later living at Serius for a few years, then the family moved back to Eagle Grove, Iowa about the year 1912. In 1920, the family moved to Kenyon Village, where Elizabeth has since resided, the last one and one half years being a resident of the Kenyon Sunset Home. Her parents, one sister and seven brothers preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother, Carl Stensland of Madison, S.D.
