September 6, 1928 ---- November 19, 1963

Mrs. Blaine O. Nickles, 35, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Clarion Community Memorial hospital where she had been a patient the past two days. She had been in failing health the past three months. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Evangelical United Brethren church in Webster City with the Rev. A. E. Rau officiating and with burial in Cass Center cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 11 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to the church.

Dorothy Ann Nail, daughter of Allen and Marie Nail, was born Sept. 6, 1928, on a farm six miles northeast of Webster City. She was reared and educated in the Webster City community; and was graduated with the class of 1946. After her graduation, she attended Webster City Junior college and taught school in the Superior school south of Webster City and the Foster school in Cass township. She later taught at Blairsburg from 1951 to 1953.

She was united in marriage June 18, 1950, to Blaine O. Nickles at the Webster City E. U. B. church, and the couple made their home near Blairsburg for three years. They then moved to a farm one mile south of Galt where they have since been residing.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Renee, 9, and Mitchell, 7; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Nail; one brother, Raymond Nail of Blairsburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She was baptized and was a member of the Mulberry Center E.U.B. church. She was also past president of the Lincoln Ladies Union, and had been attending the Galt Congregational church.
