Edmund Hansen dies in Waterloo

Funeral services for Edmund C. Hansen, 60, a former Eagle Grove resident were held Monday afternoon at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He died there Friday following an illness of three years. Mr. Hansen was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hansen long time Eagle Grove residents. He was employed as assistant cashier for the People's Bank in Waterloo and formerly was president of the Renwick Savings Bank in Renwick. He is survived by his wife, three sons, two sisters, and three brothers, including Mrs. Don Spangler of Eagle Grove and John Hansen of Goldfield. Also attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Christensen. Mrs. Edmund Hansen is a sister of Mrs. Geo. Christensen.

Former Resident Dies at Waterloo

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 29 for Edmund C. Hansen of Waterloo, a former resident and banker in Winterset. Mr. Hansen died last Friday, July 26 at Scholtz Hospital in Waterloo. He was 60 years of age. A native of Ringsted, Iowa, Mr. Hansen was cashier of the Union State Bank of Winterset from 1956 to 1962. After leaving Winterset, he served as president of a bank at Kimball, Nebraska and was most recently employed as an assistant cashier for the People's Bank in Waterloo. Mr. Hansen was also a judge for the American Kennel Club.

Survivors include his wife, June, and three sons: Edmund C. Hansen, Jr., of Des Moines; Richard K. Hansen of Waterloo; and Gordon A. Hansen of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; as well as two sisters, three brothers, and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 29 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Waterloo, with burial in Waterloo.
