WESLEYANS ATTENDED MRS. THISSEN FUNERAL

A number of Wesleyans attended the funeral of Mrs. R. J. Thissen at Algona Tuesday morning, Dec. 21, at St. Cecelia's Catholic church at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Thissen died Saturday at her home following a lingering illness. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ricke. Six of her brothers were pallbearers: Lee Ricke, Morgan, Minn., Lawrence of Williams, Roman of Bancroft, and Lou, George and Raymond of Wesley. Other survivors are her husband, Dr. Thissen, three children, Mrs. A. J. (Eleanor) Sappe, Algona, Eugene, Chicago, and Edward in the Marines somewhere in the South Pacific, also another brother, Frank, in Boone, and a sister, Mrs. George (Clara) Goetz.

[She lived in Eagle Grove, Wright County, Iowa from 1913 to 1922 with her husband, Dr. Reinard Joseph Thissen, a chiropractor and two children. She is buried with her husband in Calvary Cemetery in Algona, Iowa. They were married January 25, 1910 in Wesley, Kossuth, Iowa]
