April 13, 1876 --- October 21, 1955

Ada Estelle, daughter of Elza E. and Clarinda [Lee] Middleton, was born near Woolstock, Iowa, April 13, 1876, and departed this life at Gothenburg, Nebraska, October 21, 1955 at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 8 days. At the age of 15 years she moved with her parents to near Gothenburg where the family homesteaded southwest of Gothenburg. She lived in this community all her life. On November 21, 1895 she was united in marriage to Wilburn H. Anderson, who preceded her in death November 14, 1939. To this union were born nine childreni Lee E. of Culbertson, Avis Peterson of Gothenburg, Harlin S. of Brady, Paul H. and Harry B. of North Platte, Owen W. and Lyle S. of Gothenburg, Mrs. Mary L. Bailey of Brady, and a baby daughter, Jean, who preceded her in death at the age of two years. Besides these, she leaves to mourn her death, 35 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Archie D. Middleton of Gothenburgj two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Soules of Gothenburg and Mrs. Ann Darling of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and many other relatives and a great host of friends.

In her early life she was buried with her Lord in baptism and has been constant and steadfast in her faith in the Lord. Her consideration for others was always first. For the past thirty years she has suffered many afflictions without complaint. She was not only mother to her own children but to her three oldest grandchildren who were left without a mother. Her life throughout was one of a great example to those
she has left. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was all that we could ever hope for in a Christian wife and mother.
Funeral services were held at the McVay Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 25, at 2:00 p.m., Evangelist Darrell Foltz officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Frank Hardy, Mrs. Bruce Kitt, Royce Blackburn, and Royce Harvey, Pallbearers were Donald Bailey, Ivan Anderson, Dean Anderson, Russell Bailey, Loren Anderson, and Larry Anderson, Final resting place, Peckham Cemetery.
