Ronald James Fuller, 71, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Health Park Hospital in Fort Myers, FL from a sudden and unexpected heart attack. Ron was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Morris Charles Fuller and Mary Yolande Fuller on October 17, 1943 and grew up on a Century Farm. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Navy and became a Medic stationed in Hawaii. After an honorable discharge he pursued several career paths in the financial industry. He retired with this wife to Fort Myers, FL after raising his family in Naperville, IL. Ron is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Wichlacz Fuller, their 4 children; Valerie (Christopher) Lentz of Plainfield, IL, Brian (Kim) Fuller of Bolingbrook, IL, Bradley Fuller of Rockford, IL and Margo Fuller of Aurora, IL, 4 grandchildren; Brianna, James and Baby Lentz and Caroline Fuller. Ron is also survived by his daughter Barbara Fuller Kline, her husband William Kline and their 2 daughters Nicole and Megan. Ron grew up in a large family and is survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister: Charles (Susan) Fuller of Rockford, IL, Dennis (Rachel) Fuller of Arizona City, AZ, Richard (Norma) Fuller of Clive, IA and Mary Diane (Doug) Lanning of Gilmore City, IA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many close friends.
Ron enjoyed golf, poker, a good joke, walking on the beach, the Florida sunshine, a good party and most of all Ron enjoyed spending time with his adult children. His grandchildren were the light of his life and they all adored him.
A Memorial visitation and Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service with military honors, 5:00 p.m. at the Beidelman- Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, IL. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fuller Education Fund that has been established for the grandchildren. Please join us for a reception at the Bolingbrook Country Club immediately following the service.
