Funeral services for Harry B. Hanson, 46, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Presbyterian church east of Kamrar, preceded by a brief service at 1 o'clock at the farm home, 5-1/2 miles northeast of Kamrar. The Rev. August Cramer will officiate with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery. Foster funeral home will have charge of the services. Mr. Hanson died suddenly at 11:15 p.m. Sunday. He had been in failing health the past two years.

Harry Bartel Hanson, son of Hans and Mary Hanson, was born Dec. 17, 1906 on a farm near Popejoy, Iowa. When he was seven years old, the family moved to a farm in Rose Grove township, Hamilton county. He was reared and educated in the Rose Grove community. Oct. 18, 1928, he was united in marriage to Miss Recksta Ubben. Mr. and Mrs. Hanson made their home in Galt for one year, then moved to a farm in Liberty township near Kamrar. They had farmed in that community since.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter: Cpl. Virgil Hanson of Ames, now enroute back to the states from Korea; Richard Hanson, at home, and Mrs. Curtis (Dorothy) Draves of Webster City; one granddaughter, Verlan Draves; his mother, Mrs. Mary Hanson of Williams; two brothers and one sister, Herman Hanson, Williams; Thorvald Hanson of Fort Dodge and Mrs. John (Dora) Thinesen of Sandstone, Minn.; four half-sisters, Mrs. Lilly Devenbaugh of LaGrange, Ind., Mrs. Nettie Frette of Webster City, Mrs. Lawrence (Mabel) Olson of Goldfield and Mrs. Adrian (Edna) Echelberger of Dows. He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Hanson was baptized and confirmed in the Landstad Lutheran church near Williams. He became a member of the Presbyterian church near Kamrar in 1951.
