November 27, 1900 --- March 20, 1986

Bess Blanche Blake, the daughter of John Thomas and Fredricka Wulke Roberts, was born November 27, 1900 at Melbourne, Iowa. She attended Iowa State Teachers College and on June 1, 1929 was married to Bruce Blake in the United Church of Christ. They resided in Eagle Grove where she was a member of PEO and Cecilian Music Club. She died on March 20, 1986 at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove.

Survivors include her children, Wayland Roberts Blake of Forest City, Iowa and Alice Blake Twedt (Mrs. Lynn O.) of Harvard, Ill., grandchildren, Shelly Blake Schlawin, Maria Blake, Alyssa Blake, Blake Twedt, and Bruce Twedt. She was preceded in death by her husband. No services or visitation were held for Bess Blanche Blake. Graveside [Rose Hill Cemetery] services will be held at a later date.
