Dorothy Pergande, 86, Purdin, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Life Care Center of Brookfield. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Sue Lambert officiating. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 that evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield. Memorials to Linneus United Methodist Church/Medical Fund may be left at or mailed to Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, Missouri 64628.

Dorothy Jean, daughter of Cecil and Rose Marie (Elmer) Brown, was born on January 27, 1929, in Renwick, Iowa. Dorothy married John Albert Pergande on January 24, 1948, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2011. She was active in the Linn Center Progressive Club. Dorothy is survived by, two sons, Michael Pergande and wife, Pamela, Vincent, Iowa, and Rodger Pergande and wife Debbie, Purdin; one daughter, Diane Kay Potter and husband, Kenneth, Paris; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces nephews; and many friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald Douglas Pergande; and one brother, Milton Brown.
