CLEAR LAKE - I. Leonard Walls, of Rockford, Ill., died Sunday (July 4, 1999) at the Swedish American Hospital, in Rockford, Ill. Leonard was born Jan. 2, 1915, in Clarion, the son of Isaac L. Sr. and Lola (Sanders) Walls. Leonard lived many years in Clear Lake before moving to Rockford in 1967. Leonard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pauline (Blakley); and daughter, Barbara (Steve) Fleeman, both of Rockford; daughters, Marjorie (Dave) Toft and Mary (Don) Running, of Savage, Minn.; daughter, Patricia (Andy) Olson, of Sidney, Ohio; sister, Cecil (Emil) Broers, of Clear Lake; stepchildren, Lora Ann Quartuccio, of Las Vegas, Nev., Mara Beth McBride, of Rogers, Ark.; and Wilbur Nelson, of Benetia, Calif.; and many special grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and brothers Howard, Russell, Ralph and Donnie.

A brief visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday with Special Friend in Christ, Mrs. Ila Mae Morgan, of Rockford, officiating. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the Family Christian Fellowship, Rockford, Ill. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel.
