RITES SET FOR MRS. I. L. WALLS

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. I. L. Walls, 79, died early Sunday at a Clear Lake nursing home following an illness. Mrs. Walls had been a resident at the nursing home for two years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilcox Funeral Home. The Rev. William Dilsaver, pastor of the Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Lola Sanders Walls was born Sept. 12, 1881, at Girard, Ill., daughter of Cal and Fannie (Biggerstaff) Sanders. She was married to I. L. Walls in 1900. They farmed for a short time in Illinois and then moved to Clarion and later to the Rockford area. After 1920 they made their home in the Clear Lake and Mason City areas. Mr. Walls retired from farming in 1947 and they moved to Clear Lake.

Survivors include four sons, Russell, Leonard and Ralph, all of Clear Lake, and Donald, Mason City; one daughter, Mrs. Emil (Cecil) Broers, Mason City; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Maye Raab, Carlingville, Ill., and two brothers, Melvin and Charles Sanders, Girard, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband [Isaac Leonard Walls] in 1954, one son, Howard, and three grandchildren.
