Scott Douglas Weland, the son of Kenneth and Jeanette (Pressler) Weland, was born July 10, 1942, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Scott served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On September 11, 1966, Scott was united in marriage with Judy Johnston at United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove where Scott worked as a mechanic for Ellsworth Freight lines for many years. He then operated Scott's Trucks, worked for Duit Construction out of Oklahoma City and also taught mechanics at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. Scott has been an independent truck driver for many years. Scott was a member of the United Methodist Church and served as a reserve police officer in Eagle Grove during the late 70's. He loved being at the "shop" working on anything with a motor.

Scott passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Johnston Family Reunion in Sturgis, South Dakota at the age of 72 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Roy and Clara Pressler. Scott is survived by his wife, Judy Weland of Eagle Grove; sons, Mike Weland (Jacci) and Mitch Weland (Billie) of Eagle Grove; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Meleah), Nichole (Jake), Austin, Drake, Addison and Jax; 3 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kinley and Mack; brothers, T. J. Kitselman, Bill Ingle and Jack Ingle and step-father, Max Ingle.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove Pastor Heather Dorr officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
