Abbie (Bonte) Schollian, Age 88, a resident of the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. Public graveside services will be held at 3:45 pm Tuesday June 2, 2015 at the Belmond Cemetery in Belmond, Iowa.

Abbie (Bonte) D. Schollian, 88, a resident of the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Rehabilitation Center. Born June 25, 1926, in Belmond, IA. The daughter of Theodore and Rose (Meinders) Bonte. She was raised in Belmond. Baptized at Immanuel Reformed Church. She graduated Belmond High School in 1944. Abbie worked for her father's hardware store until 1946, at which time she married Robert in 1946. Abbie and Bob then operated Belmond Coffee Shop until Robert's death in 1948. She later married Thomas Schollian and moved to Mason City, IA. She worked at Park Hospital and Clinic until 1976, when they joined the La Quinta Motor Inn Corporation until Tom's death in 1986. She then moved to Goshen, Indiana, in 1990 and moved back to Belmond. She enjoyed camping with her family in earlier years, baking, and entertaining friends and relatives. She is survived by her son, Terry A. Schollian (Evelyn Schollian) of Goshen, Indiana; her granddaughter, Tara Rose of Cass County, Michigan; her great grandson, Zachery of Cass County, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, David, and her three brothers, Claire, Ray, and Merle. Andrews Funeral Home, Belmond, Iowa.
