M. G. Bakker Died Saturday
Had Been Sufferer For a Year With Diabetes

Menne G. Bakker died at his home in Lincoln township early Saturday morning. He was found dead in bed in the morning. He had been a sufferer for some time with diabetes and his death, though it came suddenly, was not unexpected. Funeral services were held at the home at one o'clock on Tuesday and later at the Lincoln Center church with the local pastor, Rev. Gerdes, officiating.

Mr. Bakker was 51 years old. He was born in Emden, Germany, and came to this country with his parents when he was a boy. The family lived for a time in Shiloh township. From there they moved to Wright county. Twenty-one years ago Mr. Bakker returned to a Shiloh township farm, where he lived until ten years ago, when he bought a farm in Lincoln township, where he and his family have since resided. Mr. Bakker was twice married. There were no children from the first marriage. He was married a second time to Miss Mary Benenga, who with six children survives him. Of the children five are boys and one is a girl.
