SERVICES TO BE AT MASON CITY CHAPEL

Benjamin Golien, 78, of 19 Second N.W., died Wednesday at a Mason City hospital following an illness. He had been a resident of Mason City for the past 40 years. Mr. Golien was born Jan. 8, 1873, at Kanawha, Iowa. He was married to Miss Nellie Bordeau, Nov. 21, 1910, in Mason City. For the past 24 years he had been the engineer at the county courthouse heating plant. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the I.O.O.F. lodge. His wife survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Major Memorial chapel Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. E.W. Busch, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park cemetery. The courthouse will be closed from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday during the services. The Major funeral home is in charge of services.
