Frances Marie Tegland, age 90, of Belmond passed away Sunday March 1, 2015, at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. Funeral services for Frances M. Tegland will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church west of Belmond. Pastor James Harbaugh will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion at 3:30 P.M. the day of the service. Visitation for Frances M. Tegland will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South is in charge of arrangements.

Frances Marie the daughter of Edd and Della (Bayliss) Rayle was born August 3, 1924 in Rowan. She grew up and attended school in Rowan and Clarion. She was united in marriage to Joe Tegland on August 12, 1944 at the Lutheran Parsonage in Belmond. They were blessed with a daughter Connie. Frances was a stay at home mom. She opened her home and watched a few children in the area. Frances started working at the school as a cook. She loved taking care of her beautiful roses and iris.

Frances is survived by her husband Joe of 70 years, daughter Connie and (Bob) Loux of Clarion, three grandchildren Tom and (Stacy) Loux of Sugarland, Texas, Matt (Elaine) Loux of Katie, Texas and Ellen (Troy) Krumm of Ankeny, Iowa, seven great-grandchildren Amanda, Derek, Bryce, Paige, Josh, Caleb and Owen, a sister Marilyn Schutz of Des Moines and a sister-in-law Ilene Kalkwarf of Belmond. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brother-in-laws.
