Services were held Saturday, April 26 at St. John Lutheran Church, Lizard Township, for Gerd Post, 68, who died Thursday, April 24 at his home in Palmer [Iowa]. Burial was in the Norway Township Cemetery near Kanawha. Gerd Post was born at Gilmore City and attended rural schools there. In 1943, he married Wilma Asbe at Fort Dodge and they farmed near Rolfe from 1945 until 1976. They then moved to Humboldt where he was employed by Jet Co for two years. Mrs. Post died in 1978. He retired in 1979 and in 1981 he married Phyllis Bunting and they made their home in Palmer. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife Phyllis; daughters, Mrs. Mark (Peggy) Cummings, Adel; Mrs. Ken (Nancy) Loehr, Fort Collins, Colo.; stepdaughter, Marcia Keil, Littleton, Colo.; son, Gary Post, Des Moines; stepson, Weston Keil, Manson; three grandchildren; brothers, John Post, Pomeroy; Albert Post, Herman Post and Harvey Post, Gilmore City; Fred Post. Rolfe and Raymond Post, Humboldt; sisters, Mrs. John (Minnie)Hanssen, Pocahontas and Mrs. Paul (Marie) Martin,
