Herbert Christian Will
Herb was a good Christian man who loved his family. Served in the Civilian Conservation Corp during the depression so he could save his parents farm with the money he sent home. Farmed between Badger and Vincent, 1939 to 1946 and Herb and Mabel [Moats] built their home in Eagle Grove, Iowa and Herb was a Union Carpenter until he retired at the age of 63. Herb and Mabel enjoyed traveling and traveled to all but two U.S. states. They were avid Rock Hounds and Herb was accomplished at lapidary work and made beautiful butterfly's from agate and mounted on quality rock specimens. Herb was particularly fond of his Grandchildren and the neighbor kids loved him also as he always had an interesting story to tell or to show them how something was done. Herb was a long time member of the Methodist Church, at Eagle Grove and served on several boards. He was also on the Property Board of adjustment advisory board for Eagle Grove, IA. Herb was job superintendent on the Federal Building in Fort Dodge, IA and help construct many structures at Iowa Central Community College, Friendship Haven and many commercial buildings around Fort Dodge. Herb never met a stranger or a dog that didn't like him. Herb's true love was his wife Mabel.
