Airell Clark, age 77, of Belmond, passed away Thursday February 12, 2015 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services for Airell Clark will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday February 20, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond. Pastor Alan Shulz will officiate and Pastor Patrick Kennedy will preach. Burial will take place in the Belmond cemetery. Visitation for Airell Clark will he held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday February 19, 2015 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South in Belmond and will continue for one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Airell Richard, the son of Frank and Arlotte Sampson Clark was born April 23, 1937 on the family farm west of Belmond. Airell grew up in the Morse Lake area where he attended country school and later graduated from Belmond High School in 1955. He attended St Olaf College for one semester. Airell was united in marriage to Joan Kriens on October 4, 1958. The couple made their home on the family farm west of Belmond. Airell and Joan were blessed with three children, Richard, Amy and Airell II. Airell farmed his entire life, but also was active in other business endeavors. In farming, Airell raised hogs, sheep, and kosher cattle for several years. He served as the President of the Wright County Pork Producers. Airell served as president and manager at the North Iowa Wood Products in Belmond for numerous years. Airell and Ray Stockseth owned and operated the car dealership “Woodland Motors” in Belmond for a time. Airell was a man of varied interests. His and Joan’s home was both designed and constructed by Airell, with the aid of their family. He enjoyed flying and belonged to the Pilot’s Club. Airell loved to bowl and had just recently belonged to the Senior Bowling League in Belmond. In music, Airell could play the piano by ear, but not so great by note. He also loved singing, belonging to men’s quartet at the Belmond Bible Church. Currently, Airell is a member at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond. Airell’s loving smile and Godly friendship and love to all will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

Airell is survived by his wife, Joan, children, Richard and wife, Lynnette of Belmond, Amy of Muskogee, OK, Airell II and wife, Karin of Albany, OR, six grandchildren, Steven, Katarina, Airell III, Jacquelyn, Dalton, Brianne, and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
