PLAN RITES FOR MRS. ANDERSON
FUNERAL TO BE HELD AT WARD’S SUNDAY AT 2

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. Henry C. Anderson, 68, 201 E. Main street, who died at a Mason City hospital Thursday afternoon, will be held Sunday at 2 o’clock at the Ward funeral home. Doctor Edward W. Day, pastor of the First Congregational church, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was born Bernice Janet Fell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fell, on a farm north of Goodell in Hancock county, Nov. 23, 1879. In 1888 the family moved to Garner, where she was married in 1896 and moved to Clear Lake. Here she spent the remainder of her life with the exception of a couple of years at Peoria, Ill.

Mrs. Anderson was interested and active in all civic and social movements of the town as long as she was able. She was a devoted member of the Pythian Sister temple for many years and attended the Congregational church. Last Nov. 25 she became suddenly ill, and failing to make the hoped for recovery at home, was moved to the hospital Dec. 12.

She was married in 1935 to Mr. Anderson of Peoria, Ill. After his retirement from the service of the government, they returned to Clear Lake to make their home on E. Main street.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Anderson is survived by a sister, Mrs. Edith Brewer, who resides in Oregon, and her son Max, and his 4 children, Verde, Wynifred, Gerry and Sharon, all of Goshen, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marion Fell; a sister, Jessie, who died in 1875 and is buried at Kilborn City, Wes; another sister, Miss Nellie Fell, Britt, and a daughter, Wynifred, 21, who died in Clear Lake in 1920 and is buried in the family plot here.
