Frances Ann Hoyt of Clarion passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Clarion, Iowa. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM.
Frances was born on the September 21, 1928 in Alden, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Hattie Snyder. She graduated from Dows High School. Following high school, she graduated from AIB in Des Moines. Frances was united in marriage to Arnold "Bud" Hoyt and they farmed outside of Clarion. To this union five children were born. They later divorced. Frances then met Shorty Sharp and they continued their lives together in Clarion until his death. During Frances' working career, she was employed by M&M in Eagle Grove, Thorpe Hatchery in Clarion, Wright County Credit Bureau, and Town and Country Realty & Insurance Services in Clarion.
She is survived by her children, Craig (Kathay) Hoyt of Davis City, Iowa, Jane (Leo) Sieren of Keota, Iowa, and Jerry (Janice) Hoyt of Placerville, CA. Also left to remember her are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Marjorie Watt of Sheffield, Iowa. Proceeding Frances in death were her parents, her spouse, Shorty, and two sons, Chuck and Jackie. In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider a donation to Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center's Activity Fund or Wright County Hospice.
