March 24, 1871 --- April 26, 1962

Neva Gay Withers of Melrose Park, Illinois, was born in Loogootee, Indiana, March 24, 1871 to James K. and America Rogers Hall. She was united in marriage to William Frank Withers on Sept. 11, 1894. Her early married life was spent near Bryantsville, Ind., later moving back to Loogootee, Ind., and residing in this vicinity until 1915, when they moved to Eagle Grove. In 1928 they spent some time in Winchester, Kansas, later moving to Webster City, Iowa then to Woodstock, Ill. In 1931 they moved to Melrose Park where she resided with her son the late William Hall. She was baptized in the First Christian Church in Loogootee, Ind., remaining in the First Christian Church faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and one daughter and two sisters. She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Gail Moore and Mrs. Gay Lamfers, Melrose Park, Ill.; Tod Withers, Webster City; Wayne Withers, Webster City; Ford Withers, Melrose Park, Ill,; Leona Trower, Kansas City, Mo.; Hilda Crandall, Rupert, Idaho. She is also survived by one brother J. Marley Hall, Santa Monica, Calif.; and three sisters Mrs. Forest Cambell, Mrs. Cleve Miller and Mrs. C. W. Spencer, all of Sedan, Kans. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and a number of great grand children. Services were held Monday, April 30, at 2:00 p. m. at the Sandvig Funeral Home with Dr. Lloyd W. Meyer officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
