PHILLIP LaBARR DIED THIS MORNING

Phillip LaBarr, a well known resident of Fairfield, passed away this morning about three-thirty at the Jefferson County Hospital. Mr. LaBarr underwent an operation last Friday at the hospital and his condition has been very serious since, pneumonia having developed.

Phillip Good LaBarr was the son of Charles and Harriett LaBarr and was born September 20th, 1849, in Illinois. On May 18, 1881, at Webster City, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Emma V. Wade. To this union were born six children, five of whom, with the mother, are left to mourn his loss. One child died in infancy. They are Harry A. LaBarr, of Clarinda, Iowa; Phillip, of Davenport; Ralph E. of Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; Clair, who is in the navy; and Mrs. Florence Bridgeman of this city. He is also survived by one brother, Everett, of Washington. The family has resided in this city for the past eleven years, where Mr. LaBarr has been a miller at the Roller Mills.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the home, 709 South Depot street, in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly, of the Christian church, of which church he was a member. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery [Fairfield, Iowa].
