Rev. Alfred R. Cuthbert, 85 a retired Methodist minister, died Tuesday night, June 24 at the home of his daughter, Rev. and Mrs. J. M. Kennedy of Muscatine. Most of his ministry was in the Northwest Iowa conference, serving at Lake Park, Lake View, Livermore, Goldfield and several other communities. He concluded his ministry at the Excelsior Twp. Church in 1948. Funeral services were held last Friday morning, June 27 in the Methodist church at Spirit Lake, and interment was in the cemetery at Goldfield. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alfred H. Cameron of Graettinger and Mrs. Kennedy of Muscatine; two sons, Wilfred K. Cuthbert of Nisswa, Minn., and Lt. Col. C. T. Cuthbert in Japan; and two step-sons, Ray M. Rousch of Newton and Harold S. Rousch of Denver, Colo.
