February 2, 1921 --- January 20, 2015

Gretchen Senft, Maplewood, MN, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2015, just days short of her 94th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Herman Senft. She was also preceded in death by her dear grandson, Johnny Norris, and her sister Marie Bogas. She is survived by her children, Jim (Janet) Senft, Jan (John) Norris, Julie (Gene) Karlson; grandchildren Dan Norris and Lindsay (Jeff) Wittrock; great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Zoe, Maia, Michael, and Jacob; sister Veronica Augst; nieces and nephews. She was active in the church as her husband served congregations in Humboldt, South Dakota; Belmond, Dubuque and Nora Springs, Iowa; New Brighton, Stillwater, and St. Paul, Minnesota. We invite you to join our family in celebrating Gretchen's life and her joy in entering heaven with a memorial service at Noon on Thursday, January 29, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, MN. Visitation will begin at 11:15; a light lunch will follow the service. Private Interment Fort Snelling. The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Association, St. Andrew's Community Resource Center, or donor's choice.
