Esther H. Daniels, age 95, of Belmond, IA, most recently a resident of the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond, died, Monday, January 19, 2015, at the Muse-Norris Hospice inpatient in Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2015, at the Andrews Funeral Home, 516 1st Street S.E., Belmond, IA. Pastor Steven Hill of Iowa Falls will be officiating. Burial will be in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of the funeral services on Thursday. Those wishing to express their sympathies through a memorial or other expression of sympathy may direct them in care of Esther's name to Hospice of North Iowa, or the donor's choice.

Esther Mosiman, the daughter of Simon and Cathryn (Patterson) Mosiman, was born May 19, 1919, at Corwith, Iowa. She attended Belmond Schools and was the surviving graduate of her Class of 1936. Following her high school graduations she received her Normal School Teaching Certificate. Esther and her future husband Peter Charles Daniels met in Belmond when the two worked for the Tyrrell Family Farms. The couple later married on September 15, 1938 at Webster City, Iowa. The couple worked for Guy and Hazel Lynch for a couple years following their marriage. The couple lived for a time in San Diego, California, during Peter's tenure in the United States Navy. The two then returned to their Iowa roots in Belmond, where Peter began his home building career and Esther was often found working right along side him in his chosen vocation. The two eventually moved to the Oakland, Minnesota area, where they farmed for seven years, before moving back to Belmond, where they continued their construction business. In addition to farming and helping with the construction business and being a full time mom and wife, Esther has been employed for periods of time in Belmond at Ben Franklin, P & G Grocery Store, Garner Appliance, Our Own Hardware, Montgomery Wards, and Lloyd Butterbaugh Hardware in Belmond. Esther and Peter were members of the Calvary Baptist Church in Belmond for more than 50 years and 20 year members at the Clear Lake Baptist Church. Esther truly enjoyed and relished times spent with her family and friends. He faith life was essential in practice of her life long daily prayers devotions. She was often thought of by her family and others her knew her well as a "Prayer Warrior", always praying for the needs of others. Esther had wonderful culinary skills and was a terrific baker. For the past few years she had resided at the Rehabilitation Center, where she enjoyed participating in various events and activities. Her family and friends will remember her hard work ethic, her gentle nature, warm and welcoming personality, concern for the needs and well being of others and her very deep devotion to her family and faith.

Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her surviving sister, Beverly (Lloyd) Faaborg, Sheffield, IA; her three sons, Dwight P. (Rita) Daniels, Charles (Jerene) Daniels, and Timothy (Dixie) Daniels; seven grandchildren, Steven (Susan) Daniels, Rochelle (Jon Kirtland), Dana (Joel Campbell), Becky (John Delvaux), Jodi (Clinton Fleming), Peter B. Daniels, and Kandyce (Luke Gassman); eight great-grandchildren, Andy, Tyler, and Ben Kirtland; Aaron and Emily Grace Campbell; Elizabeth and Tommy Delvaux; and Eliana Fleming; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter C. Daniels, on December 7, 2009, sister, Clara Mae, and brothers, Archie, Robert, Eugene, Cecil and Rolland Mosiman.
