MRS. E. FINER DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Emil (Grace) Finer, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the home of her son, Eldon Finer, Clear Lake, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastors Murley Severtson and August Geske officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Wilcox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Grace Olivia Finer was born Oct. 7, 1894, in Wright County, the daughter of Ole and Julia (Helland) Holland. She was married to Emil Finer Nov. 25, 1915, at Thompson. They farmed near Thompson a number of years and later lived in Mason City. In 1937, they moved to Clear Lake where he operated Finer’s Grocery, at 12 N. 4th St., for 11 years. They continued to live in Clear Lake since that time.

Mrs. Finer is survived by her son, Eldon; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Mabel) Hansen, Bremerton, Wash., and two brothers, Elias Holland, Fairfield, Calif., and Peter Holland, Clear Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, two brothers and her parents.
