October 10, 1871 --- February 12, 1911

The death of Mrs. Nels Arne of this city, occurred last Sunday Feb. 12. Mrs. Arne was a sufferer of consumption for several years. Funeral services were held from the Wright street Lutheran church on Monday and interment took place in the cemetery here. The sermon was by Rev. L. O. Thorson, pastor, of the Lutheran church, of which the deceased was faithful and conscientious member.

Olena Ekanger was born in Norway, Oct. 10, 1871. She came to America in 1893. Mr. and Mrs. Arne were married in the United Lutheran church here by Rev. Holm March 11, 1899. Three children and her husband are left to mourn her death. Mrs. Wilson, now of Jewell, came up Monday and took the youngest child, a baby of a year old or so, and will care for it at her home. The Wilsons formerly lived here and were neighbors to Mr. Arne.

Mr. Arne wishes to extend thanks to the many friends and neighbors who were generous in their aid and sympathy. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dorum are neighbors and Mr. Arne says they were particularly generous and kind to them. He wishes also to thank the members of the Lutheran Aid Society. The death of a mother and wife in the prime of life is sad, always so, and Mr. Arne has the sympathy of the community in this hour of bereavement.
